Put on a recital without a spreadsheet
Start a board from the recital template and it opens with Ideas, Planning, In progress and Done already there. Book the theatre, order the junior costumes, collect the music edits, chase the outstanding payments — each one a card that moves right as it gets done, so at any moment you can see what is left.
Turn every enquiry into an enrolled student
One card per person, moving through New, Contacted, Trial booked and Enrolled. Link the card to their customer record, so the trial they missed and the class they asked about are one click apart, and nobody is followed up twice or not at all.
The everyday running of the place
The mirror to replace, the sound system to service, the grip socks to reorder, the insurance to renew. Give each one a date and it stops being the thing you remember at 11pm — an overdue card turns red on the board and counts itself on your dashboard.
Everyone knows which parts are theirs
Assign a card to an instructor and they are told: an email and a notification on the staff app, with the task and its date. They can open the board, see their own work with one filter, and move a card to Done from the studio floor.
Nothing quietly slips past its date
Every card can carry a due date. The person responsible gets a reminder the day before, overdue work turns red, and the dashboard opens with your own overdue, due today and due this week — so the first thing you see each morning is what is actually late.
Columns you name, not columns you are given
Take the template's columns or make your own: rename them, recolour them, add one, move them left or right into the order your studio actually works in. Mark whichever column means finished, and progress counts itself from there.
Every card carries its own history
Who it was assigned to, when it moved between columns, when the date changed, and every comment the team left on it — all on the card. When something took three weeks, the board can tell you where it sat.
A board for each season, kept for the next one
Archive the recital board when the curtain comes down and it stops cluttering the dashboard but keeps everything on it. Next spring you open last year's board and know exactly what the job involved, instead of starting from a blank page.
